Stop paying to heat and cool the outdoors

The problem

Many buildings in South Africa leak heat in winter and let it pour in during summer. That means cold, draughty rooms, hot afternoons, and electricity bills that keep climbing. Most people know their building could do better, but not where the money is actually going or which changes are worth paying for.

What I can measure

  • How much energy your building uses, and when. I look at your bills and usage patterns to see what normal looks like for you.

  • Where heat escapes or gets in. Roofs, walls, windows and gaps around doors all play a part.

  • How well your insulation and windows are working, and where they are missing or letting you down.

  • How comfortable each room is through the day and across the seasons.

I measure how your building uses energy by collecting data straight from your distribution board, from the geyser and stove to the plugs and lights, so I know exactly where your power is going. With that picture, I can model the type and size of solar system you need to meet your sustainability goals within your budget.

Why it matters to you

  • You find out where your money is going, so you spend on the improvements that make the biggest difference first.

  • Better insulation and fewer draughts mean a house that stays warmer in winter and cooler in summer, with less need for heaters and air conditioners.

  • Lower running costs, month after month. For a business, that goes straight to the bottom line.

  • A more efficient building is kinder to the planet and can add value when you sell or let it.

  • If you are planning a renovation or new build, I can help you get it right from the start, so you are not paying to fix it later.
